Misaligned 'Add property' icon?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any file
  2. Add file property
  3. Check for ‘Add property’ icon’s alignment

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? Y

Expected result

The icon should align with other properties’ icon, if it’s not intentional.

Actual result

‘Add property’ icon is not aligned with other properties properly I think.

This is not that much annoying but… if it’s not what you intended, for more perfect UI :smile:

This is really minor and i think this alignment is more a hint to see what truly belongs to the property list and what doesn’t.

In short, plus (add property) isn’t a properly item but you can spot the plus button quickly exactly because it’s not perfectly aligned

IMHO, If it is necessary to make it more distinct, it should be more deviant. If not, placing the elements as similar as possible is good in terms of consistency.
The ambiguity between the two is just a misalignment, I think.

But you have a point. Even I applied a CSS snippet to change it to be more distinct.

In the default state, I made the letter ‘Add Property’ invisible to look different from the key values. It is only visible in hover mode.

In the meantime, it is better to align it to keep consistency.

Okay I see. So you are saying this is intentional.
Just asking out of curiosity, but how many pixels are needed to define misalignment? Over 4px or 8px? :joy:

Aren’t you going to post the snippet for all the readers who now can’t unsee the misalignment? :wink:

Also you could post a feature request for this, tho it’d be a good idea to keep your expectations low.
