Consolidating into a single “hotkey” thread is a good idea. I was thinking of doing the same thing! I was wondering though if it makes things easier, or, harder for the mods, from a request tracking perspective (@Licat maybe)?
I have a few more hotkey request:
Shortcut to open the File Explorer
Shortcut to navigate to link under cursor in new window when in edit mode
Shortcut to open preview in a new linked window
There’s probably more, these come to mind as immediate frustrations (for me ). I like to stay on home row
@sam.baron not sure which ones you are referring to. In the feature requests home page you can highlight a topic post, ctrl-copy, then ctrl-paste in here and it will paste it as a link. Thanks!

@lizardmenfromspace I was referring to updating your original post since I thought you were aggregating hotkey requests, but nevermind, the star/unstar hotkey was updated in the last release.
I’d like to have a global hotkey within Windows so that I can create a note or search for a note using a hotkey from any application. For example, with my Evernote-client I do Win+N to automatically create a new Evernote-note with any application in focus.
