Markdown links show up as duplicate unlinked mentions

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add a link using traditional markdown linking. E.g.: [Masters Thesis](masters-thesis)
  2. Go to that file.
  3. Check the Backlinks list.

Expected result

The link should be only in “Linked mentions” list and not also in “Unlinked mentions” list

Actual result

When I use traditional markdown links, the file link ends up both in “Linked mentions” and “Unlinked mentions” list.

Environment

  • Operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.4
  • Obsidian version: v0.7.3

(Seems like there was the same issue here, but it was not fixed: Same reference shows up in both Backlinks and Unlinked mentions for a note which is included using header)

Thanks for the report. I can reproduce.
I did some testing.
It seems that of []()
the text within [] is captured in unlinked mention.
the text within [] is captured in linked mention.

This issue is not related to https://forum.obsidian.md/t/same-reference-shows-up-in-both-backlinks-and-unlinked-mentions-for-a-note-which-is-included-using-header/200
which was fixed

let me know if you still have this with 0.8.4

Seems to be good now!
