Manual Recovery File Conversion?

Is there any way to convert recovery files in User\AppData\Roaming\Obsidian\IndexedDB manually?

From what I have figured out, this is where the recovery file versions are stored, and I wondered if there was a way to convert them manually without Obsidian because they are not in .md or .canvas format.

Would be very useful, because I have stored too many versions of a single file, and now it doesn’t load every time I try to use the recovery file interface within Obsidian.

I have tried moving files to free up some space, but for some reason afterward when I try to search it in the recovery file interface, my file doesn’t appear. I suppose it’s because the recovery files are ordered with chronological numbers and letters in the IndexedDB folder, and there is a log file or something that prevents it from loading because the other files are missing.

So now, I have saved all of my recovery files and cleared all of my snapshots in the interface for it to function again, and only have the recovery files in their own format separately. They are still readable in text but every word has a space in between each letter.

Is there any way to manually convert them into a .md or .canvas format?

File Recovery only keeps snapshots for a limited time (adjustable in settings). Did these files change within that time span?

If so, maybe the index is stale. You could try Settings > Files and links > Rebuild vault cache.

Another thing you might try is moving the file back to its old location temporarily.

If you moved the whole vault, that may be the cause of the issue; moving it back temporarily may help. File recovery - Obsidian Help
