Manage Workspaces - Persisting current page viewed when switching workspace

What I am trying to do

I have attempted to click the 3 dots (…) at the bottom of the current page I am viewing & chosen “Link with pane,” however when I switch workspaces, my current page vanishes. All I am left with is the original page I saved when originally add a workspace. Is there a way to persist the page when switching workspaces?
