I reported this issue in the Discord server earlier today. I just managed to reproduce the issue, and have more information.
Steps to reproduce
- I opened
obsidian.cssin Visual Studio Code, with Obsidian still open; - I modified the
var(--pre-code)color value to edit the text color for code in my notes; - I then switched to Obsidian with the intention of reloading it with Cmd + R.
- My screens went blank, and I saw a macOS kernel panic screen before the system rebooted.
I was editing the obsidian.css file because my current theme has a large number of !important overrides that prevent Custom CSS in my obsidian-custom.css from working.
Expected result
Ideally, be able to edit the obsidian.css file without the system crashing.
Actual result
My laptop had a kernel panic when I followed the steps I described above.
Environment
