MacOS 14.4.1 Obsidian Freezes on Focus or Note Switch

What I’m trying to do

I have Obsidian full-screen on its own desktop, and my web browser is the same. When I switch from my browser to Obsidian using the three-finger gesture, there is a noticeable (probably around 2-3 seconds) delay before I can use it, and the spinning beachball also shows up. This issue also occurs when I switch notes. My main vault is stored in my user’s document folder, not any sort of cloud sync.

Things I have tried

  1. Entering restricted mode and disabling all CSS snippets
  2. Entering sandbox mode
  3. Restarting my Mac
  4. Reinstalling Obsidian

Here is a video of the issue. Every time my mouse is paused over a note, it means that I’ve clicked that note, and the app is freezing up when I try to open it. I also noticed while making this video that the longer I spend not focused on the app, the longer it freezes when I return to it, which is why I scrolled for a while on the Obsidian website.
