Live Preview: link text containing escaped square brackets

Steps to reproduce

Write a link like this:

[Text with \[square brackets\] escaped](https://www.example.com/)

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Y

Expected result

Link displays in live preview the same as it does in reading mode.

Actual result

In live preview, it looks a bit off. There are square brackets around the entire link. Also when you hover the inner brackets they act like they are not part of the link.

Additional information

I searched for dupes and found some older reports about square brackets but I think they are not quite the same issue.
