Live-preview broke plugins - is there an easy fix?

The live-preview seems to break a bunch of plugins, for example:

I haven’t developed a plugin yet but I’m curious if it’s a relatively easy fix to make those plugin work with live-preview?
Is there some documentation that we can reference on what needs to change?

This also shows how risky the usage of plugins from external developer is.

I really appreciate the work, the ideas etc. but from a user perspective it’s a risk to use them vs “build-in” and supported versions.
There are many reasons why the dev. for a plugin can stop and as a user of a free solution you have only minimal influence to that topic.

For example I used the imgur plugin but it seems that the dev. can not find a solution for live preview.
That teached me the hard way to be more carefully with the selection of the plugins.
