Anybody know what these little boxes are and how I get rid of them? They appeared after I ran the roam markdown importer.

Are you on a Mac? I know that Finder can find and replace in filenames if you select multiple files and go File → Rename. Copy the character to use in the Find field and replace it with nothing.

If you’re not on Mac, there must be some kind of mass rename service on your OS somewhere! The same workflow would apply.
