Lists: Folding hides content outside of the fold when switching from reading to edit mode

I reported this which got marked as a duplicate but strange that this hasn’t been picked up.

Anyone has found a work-around this? Where I don’t have to manually fold/unfold all the nested list items? This is very frustrating.
