Does the Expand Embeds community plugin achieve this for you?

No, because as I know that plugin uses Obsidian copy search functionality and because it does not exists now this is a problem to implement.

This sounds like [search syntax / API] version of UI based Backlinks for Blocks
Isn’t it?
