Links in properties

This may be one of those Captain Obvious things. It’s something I wasn’t aware of until today. You can enter links into properties.

Imagine you’re using Obsidian to organize and outline a novel. You want a chapter to have cross references to characters, locations, and McGuffins.

Create a property called crossreference and make it a list type.

Enter the titles of the files in your vault for the characters, locations, and whatever else is of relevance. Enter them in the crossreference property surrounded by double square brackets.

In the document, the crossreference property will list the related documents. In a Bases table, if you include the crossreference property, you’ll have links in your Bases table, too.
