Linked Mentions shows in notes even after disabling Backlinks Core Plugin

Steps to reproduce

Open a vault with some notes and internal links.
Open a note which has backlinks (Linked Mentions), with Backlinks core plugin toggled on.
Toggle off Backlinks.
Linked Mentions still show in the notes. Even if I restart the app - with Backlinks toggled off, Linked Mentions section shows in notes.
The only workaround I found is to manually toggle on and toggle off Backlinks for each note, and it goes away. But Linked Mentions section comes back again if I open another note. The only solution seems to be to toggle on and off Backlinks in settings.

Expected result

If I turn off Backlinks, Linked Mentions (and Unlinked Mentions) should never show up.
If I turn on Backlinks, these sections should always show up.

Actual result

Linked Mentions show up in notes even when Backlinks is toggled off.

I am not sure I understand you and you did not follow the BR template in full.

The “backlinks in document” is a separate thing from the Outgoing and Backlinks views in in the sidebar. The latter are controller by the core plugin switches

Thanks. Ok, then I misunderstood. How do I get “Linked Mentions” and “Unlinked Mentions” to a) show up and b) never show up in my notes (at the bottom of the notes, not in the sidebar)? I searched in the settings for these strings, and did not find any setting. The closest was Backlinks - but I did notice that toggling Backlinks core plugin on and off (when initially off, Linked Mentions were showing for current open note) did remove the Linked Mentions from showing for the current open note.

Btw, the template is too rigid and not a fit for this issue, as I don’t have a clear repro. I observed this, thought I shd share.
