Line Numbers suddenly at the far left of Editor window - Why is this happening?

After the most recent update to Obsidian now the line numbers are on the far left side of the editor window.

They used to be close to the left side of the text but now are so far left that it is basically useless to have them turned on. As you can see here:

I am using Minimal and Style Settings and I looked through the settings of both of those and can’t find anything that would have caused this change. I also searched through this forum and Google and couldn’t find anything to help.

Is this a bug? Or did I mess up some setting?

I have these plugins installed:

  • Advanced Tables
  • Better Word Count
  • Hotkeys for templates
  • Minimal Theme Settings
  • Style Settings

I’m on the latest version of Obsidian (v0.15.1), and in the sandbox vault the line numbers are appearing where I expect – immediately to the left of the text. So I guess it must have something to do with your theme or style settings.

Sounds good. I’ll play around with them some more. I’m hoping since it appeared in an update, the theme or style settings will address it when they update. :crossed_fingers:

I’m having the same problem, did you find a solution?

Unfortunately, no. I’ve just kind of starting ignoring it. :man_shrugging:

I haven’t done a whole lot of checking since posting here though…
