Launching Obsidian causes homedirs to be reassigned?

I’ve run into a very strange problem with (I think) Obsidian.

I’m using Windows 10 and running WSL2 and WSLg (a recent update made WSLg compatible with Obsidian).

I was using the Obsidian.AppImage and that worked fine but if the application is actually installed using snap, etc. then it appears in your Start Menu as an app.

So I installed the Snap and began using it that way and it worked…until it didn’t.

One time I ran obsidian and it showed this instead of launching the application:

/home/tt1/Desktop was removed, reassigning DESKTOP to homedir
/home/tt1/Downloads was removed, reassigning DOWNLOAD to homedir
/home/tt1/Templates was removed, reassigning TEMPLATES to homedir
/home/tt1/Public was removed, reassigning PUBLICSHARE to homedir
/home/tt1/Documents was removed, reassigning DOCUMENTS to homedir
/home/tt1/Music was removed, reassigning MUSIC to homedir
/home/tt1/Pictures was removed, reassigning PICTURES to homedir
/home/tt1/Videos was removed, reassigning VIDEOS to homedir

Then Obsidian never launched. Trying to run the app again it doesn’t show the above messages but neither does it launch or show any errors, it just goes back to the prompt.

So I tried the AppImage again and it works without an issue.

Eventually I removed Obsidian using the snap, reinstalled it, removed all the links Obsidian created, and ran it again and it worked again…but now it has happened again!

Anyone seen anything like this before?
