Large vault slow to load on with all plugins disabled

Hi,
since a few days Obsidian on mobile needs around 5min to load during loading workspace and I have no idea how this happend. The first thing I tried was, reinstalling the app (no effect), then I removed the workspace-mobile.json and workspace.json files, in hope, that these would have been the cause (no effect)

After I turned on restricted mode, it needed around 5min to load plugins (???) and needed around 10min for loading workspace …

I would have tried to start in the sandbox, but I think there is no sandbox vault for android, right?

In my vault there are around 45.000 files of all kind.
… any ideas for help?

enable restricted mode, use default theme. restart obsidian.

  2. Where is your vault stored?
  3. General->Advanced-> Take a screenshot of the startup time

try to disable backlinks, canvas, and file recovery and see if it helps.

Diabled all 3 of them, did not help…

What if move you vault under Documents?

I believe something happened and your files are very slow to read.

Do you have some anti-virus?

I moved the vault to Documents, unfortunately with no effect. I have AVG AntiVirus and NetGuard. Also deactivating both did not have any effect…

… it’s really strange, because I didn’t modify anything of my setup (not in obsidian and not in android) for months … however, the slow loading of the vault happens for a few days now…

I don’t know. This is not related to either internal or external plugins.

I wonder if something is slowing down obsidian execution or specifically the speed at which it can access data from disk.

Updating to 1.7.5 also did not solve the problem :confused:

I’ve also been experiencing very slow, 1-2 minute load times on Android since 1.7.4 mobile. I think it took 10-20 seconds to load before the update. I tried disabling all core plugins and community plugins, as well as deleting the cache within the app and manually, but nothing has helped.

I want to keep this thread focused on obsidian being slow when restricted mode is active on Android.

Please post in this thread ONLY IF your Obsidian is slow to load with third-party plugins disabled/restricted mode on.

Make sure you you include the debug infos (“Command: show debug info” and the “General->Advanced-> Take a screenshot of the startup time”)
