I made my forum account for this: +1
May as well give this one a bump again!
Using the mouse is like using folders, so far that its old fashioned an user should need to so it if they donāt want to.
Yes - please make Obsidian keyboard 100%
I started work on this sort of plugin. It adds keyboard nav support for the version sync page (up/down/left/right). Next up is settings page, but not sure when Iām going to build it. Contributions are welcome! Itās a beta plugin, so use BRAT, which is linked to in the README.
Note that itās inherently fragile because it interacts with the DOM. But Iāve tested the functionality and it seems to work well.
i have the same issue :((
me. but it only works when u edit the notes.
On mac:
+1 Yes ! Please provide a way to navigate back in the settings modal window, either keyboard or clickable button.
the entire app should be keyboard first⦠Would be a big imrovement
Iām so sick of obsidian because wdym itās not completely navigatible with keyboard? Even the cheapest, less thought on, unpopular apps have it. Considering how thereās so many programmers in the obsidian community, I donāt know why havenāt we done a real Open Source note taking app that ACTUALLY gets developed by the people using it??
+1000 Iām new to Obsidian and, one of the reasons I choose it over other options was that I had the impression that the software prioritized users who are a bit more interested into becoming really into the tool. That said, Iām enjoying Obsidian, but Iām a bit frustrated that it doesnāt have any support to navigating in the configurations using the keyboard. Iām using Vim mode, and having to use the mouse only to click on any of the configurationsā items is a big down. I hope they implement it (considering this FR is open since 2022).
A tease
I love the application and love the visualizations and clustering but I would think that as an editor that it would support keyboard navigation as itās primary method in all its views. I made a forum account just to express how disappointed I am to find this thread while looking for a way to navigate the settings using my keyboard.
theres a plugin called Code Editor Shortcuts
