Keep track of PDF position across devices

What I’m trying to do

I haven’t been able to pick up from where I left in a different device. Is there a way to store a PDF’s position as metadata in my Vault so I can keep it in sync through Git?

Things I have tried

I’ve tried using Git to sync everything in my Vault, but I don’t see any metadata in my Vault that keeps track of PDF positions, I suppose Obsidian is storing those elsewhere.

Looking for a solution to this too.
Where is this information stored and is it even possible to sync it between different devices?
