  • Drag a file/folder by dragging it with the mouse and try to scroll with the mouse wheel.

Additional information

  • Relevance: It’s extremely cumbersome to move files because this isn’t possible. (There’s no other way to move files efficiently. I often have to use the system explorer instead because I have long file paths and Ctrl+O would take too long to write it down. I’ll be so happy when this problem is fixed :slightly_smiling_face:.)
  • The possibility to be able to drag and scroll is expected by the user by default. I see no reason not to add it. It’s basicly part of the default functionality. There’s high probability that many users already noticed this but that they were too “lazy” to report it.
  • Video: https://youtu.be/tuhCA7bUZ14 (same as above)

You can’t drag and scroll with the mouse wheel (search/open a FR for this), but you can drag and scroll by hovering the mouse close to the top/bottom.

You can right click (or long press) the file and choose “Move file to…”. The same command is also available in the More Actions menu (3 dots at upper right) and of course in the command palette.

Ahh, right, that’s true. I use this very often. Anyway, since I have very long file paths it often would be easier to just drag it to the folder (which usually is open).
