Issues with Obsidian after updating to Mac OS Monterey

Made sure that Obsidian is up to date. Updated Mac OS to Monterey and all my data in Monterey disappeared. Data is stored on a file on my native desktop but I cant seem to get Obsidian to recognise my files. Please help.
