Is there a way to block certain words from showing up in unlinked mentions?

I have many — that get expanded into line breaks and all of those are showing up in unlinkedand outgoing mentions and adding clutter. Is there a plugin or way to block certain characters from showing up in there?

Edit: figured it out.

There was a file _.md and deleting that took them out
