I want to edit my note but only view the preview version of the note as it gets distracting seeing 2 panels displaying the new text at the same time. I know that I can just remove the preview version but I would like to see the preview version in real time instead of the edit version.

You can make the edit pane very small (horizontal allows you to see current line), else you’ll have to wait for wysiwyg.

Just wait for the WYSIWYG UI. It’s on the go.
