Is it possible to register file links from a non-Markdown file?

I believe that at the moment, there is no available public API. I have created this feature request, but have not received any feedback either.

Expand API support to allow linking in non-markdown text files

In order to implement full support for other file formats by third-party developers, the obsidian API lacks several features: The ability to register links to other pages from non-markdown pages (it will be useful for custom plugins with support for new formats, such as asciidoc) Display new registered file types in the graph view The ability to create and manage text file extensions, which will be searchable globally.
