Expected result
A normal single cursor placement in the editor, with no text selected or jump.
Actual result
A text range is selected unexpectedly in the editor, even though I only performed a normal click.
The selection appears to extend between a random cursor position and the new click position.

Additional information
- This happens on iPad when returning from Outline to the editor using a trackpad or external mouse.
- It does not happen when using touch only.
- It does not happen when the right sidebar is not pinned.
- It does not matter whether the heading in Outline was selected by touch or by pointer. The trigger is the pointer click back into the editor.
- It reproduces with both a Magic Keyboard trackpad and an external Bluetooth mouse.
