iOS version getting slower

In keeping with all things iOS, each new iOS release seems to slow down the iOS obsidian app. I am close to abandoning it. The icloud sync and indexing is ok. That’s not the problem. I have templater templates that work perfectly on my Mac, that intermittently crash on my iPhone. Additionally, the “Show me the file explorer” button, often takes several secconds to register the interaction. I am on an iPhone 13, running iOS 17.2.1 and I am running Obsidian 1.4.16… which seems like its getting a little long in the tooth…

Any ideas for speeding things up will be most welcome

Sorry, wrote that badly. Was still (and am still) trying to be systematic about noticing what was wrong when I initially wrote hte post. The search is always slow. I would say that everything else is also slow. It is not affected by which note it is. I would also note, that it is not just search, it occurs when I try to open a file from the “Files” list. I’m not actually sure the that edit/read button triggers it… think that might have just been me pressing it after triggering the lag through…
