Internal links not working in preview

When creating an internal link to another file, it only shows up properly in edit mode, but not in preview, which is where it stays with the brackets, not colored, not clickable.

Specs:
Win 11, x64
Obsidian v0.12.19

Searched for similar issues and read through the help, played around with all the settings, nothing fixed it.

The only (shitty) alternative that works is using the html a tag with href being the obsidian url. Super inconvenient workaround.

That’s because you need to have an empty line between headers and the Markdown link. If you add a line, it should render properly.
