Using Installer version: v0.7.6

Trying check for updates did not resolve this.

Same for me… Restart, Check for updates, nothing enables Obsidian to even see that there is a v.0.12.17

Looks like your Installer is a little dated!

You can try installing the latest official version from the website and then update.

Thanks, I reinstalled 12.15 from the web and insider is working fine now.
Also this updated to new installer version.
Current version: v0.12.17
(Installer version: v0.12.15)

Thanks for the solution @phlind.

I expected the Installer to also auto-update. Having to manually update some components to have other components auto-update seems to defeat the point of having auto-update in the first place.

Confirming that I had the same problem and this solution worked for me. My original installer version was 0.8.6. Thanks for the solution @phlind!

The current insider build is 0.12.18

Obsidian Release v0.12.18 (Insider build)

No longer broken Fixed link suggestions sometimes disappears with large vault. Fixed heading rename doesn’t work if there was no link to the heading. Fixed empty sidebar does not save collapsed state properly. Fixed theme manager sometimes showing no theme installed.
