Inconsistent behavior of "Open link under cursor to the right" compared to previous versions

Steps to reproduce

  • Set the hotkey for “Open link under cursor to the right” (ex: cmd+option+Enter).
  • Execute command with the hotkey and open a link in a note.

Expected result

Expected behavior is creating a new tab group right and opening a new tab in that tab group.
THIS IS THE PREVIOUS BEHAVIOR.

Actual result

It results in opening a new tab in the already created tag group and doesn’t create an new tab group.

For my sliding-pane workflow (with Pane relief plugin), it’s important to arrange each tab horizontally (one tab per one tab group). Please fix this behavior, otherwise implement another functionality & its hotkey like “Open link under cursor to new tab group”.

This not a bug. It’s an intentional change.

You can open a FR for this.
I also suggest you to look into stacked tabs.

Thank you WhiteNoise.
I got it.

I’ll make a FR for this. I love arranging tab group and sliding them much more than stacked tabs.
