In code block ```, indent by four spaces, what's that vertical line?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Type ``` to create a code block.
  2. Indent by four spaces.
  3. Notice a | is rendered at the beginning of each line.

What I’m trying to do

That fact that I’m in code block is conveyed by the altered background. It doesn’t make sense to me to render that | to also remind me that I’m in code block mode. Is it intentional?

Almost certainly this, I think:

Obsidian > Preferences > Editor > Show indentation guides
