Implicit link in preview mode creates new file instead of opening web page

We strongly recommend you to search the forum with possible keywords before submitting a new bug report. Please also try your repro steps with third-party plugins and custom CSS disabled and see if it’s still reproducible. If it’s an issue with third-party plugins or themes, try contacting the author for help. Once you’ve done the above, delete this line.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any file in the sandbox vault (“Start Here” is fine).
  2. Ensure that Obsidian is in Preview Mode
  3. Write [test-link-google][] (as raw text; without the backticks) on a separate line
  4. Write [test-link-google]: https://google.com (as raw text; without the backticks) on a separate line
  5. While the caret is not on this line, click on the rendered “test-link” link.

Expected result

Obsidian should open open the link https://google.com in a web browser.

Actual result

Obsidian creates a new file named [].

Additional information

Reference-style links only work in reading view, not editing view.

My apologies.
I did a search before posting, but the results I found wasn’t related to this particular issue. I see now that I have not done a thorough enough search.
