Images in Obsidian bases (card view) lose sharpness when increasing the size of the cards

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a base in obsidian-sandbox
  2. Generate card view
  3. Select image property
  4. Increase the card size to the maximum value.

The behavior of images in the cards is quite arbitrary. After following the previous steps, the image loses sharpness.

If I close Obsidian with the card size set to the maximum, then reopen Obsidian, the image in the card regains its sharpness. I can increase or decrease the card size, and the image maintains its high sharpness.

If we reduce the card size close to its minimum, close Obsidian, reopen Obsidian, and the image loses sharpness.

Additional information

This is not a bug. The size is small a small thumbnail is generated (for overall speed) . If the size is big the original image is used.

You can open a FR asking for the thumbnail image to be regenerated dynamically if the scale is changed.
