Images are not displayed if there is an emoji in its parent folder name 🤪

Steps to reproduce

Go to one of your attachment folders or one of their parent folders. Add an Emoji to the filename. The image will no longer be displayed.

Expected result

Images should be displayed, even with emojis in folder names.

Actual result

Images are replaced with a default missing image icon.

Sure, here you go!

what is your OS locale?

English (United Stats) on PopOs (Ubuntu) Linux

which filesystem are you using?

I use ext4
Just for reference, it was working just fine before the 1.0 update.

Hey, is there any update on this issue? Were you able to recreate it? Thanks

For anyone stumbling across this. Here is a related issue, that offers a solution: Images don't load if vault contains non standard letters such as é - #12 by WhiteNoise

So the problem is that you are using non US locale?

Yes, it seems to be the problem. Sorry for the late reply. Setting the Env to
LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 makes the problem go away.
