Image viewing not working

When I try to view any pictures inside of the Obsidian environment, it only showes the “image broken” symbol. When I view the images with the normal image viewers, it works just fine. This is for both .png and .jpeg files.

Is this a known bug, has anyone else come across it?

My obsidian vault contains work files, so I’m not at liberty to share much details.

It doesn’t work as an embed or when I try to view only the image within Obsidian.

Might help to update it…

If your vault is on a network drive, this is known issue and will be fixed in 0.14.
If not post a screen recording of this happening in the help vault.

Oh, this might be it!
I will move it onto C and test.

Did not work. My vault is now in C://Documents/Obsidian-Notes/Work, still not working.

Annoyingly, the images in the “help” vault are working.

Enter safe mode, restart obsidian and post a screen recording.

Safe mode has been on since the start.
I can show you an edited screendump, without exact filenames.

are you sure you are opening the local vault and not remote vault?

Thank you, this was it.
The structure of this computer’s file system kept confusing me, but I now made sure to move the obisdian vault onto the C drive, and the images are ng working.
Thank you all for the help, and I’m looking forward to when the images work for network files.
