I respectfully and gratefully also +1 on this. My needs are super simple, I discovered this because when trying to move a note to a notebook called “Obsidian” the folder is bumped off the list by an endless mess of “attachments/_INBOX/Obsidian”… jpegs.
Even though every plugin and CSS snippet is telling Obsidian to ignore and hide the “attachments” folder altogether. And it is hidden in the Explorer, but the entire folder seems seared into the memory of the linking parser for good. I don’t remember this being an issue before, maybe 1.7.3 is taking the “Settings > Files and Links > Excluded Files” less seriously than before, but I spent 1.5 hours trying every plugin and CSS snippet and restarting Obsidian dozens of times, rebuilding the vault cache, and I was shocked that there wasn’t a tidy solution to getting all the crap out of my link results. So +1 me, please.
