If Tag Text Same as a Note Title It Messes up 'Unlinked Mentions'

Steps to reproduce

  1. in an existing note, add a test tag - e.g., “#testsubject
  2. create a new note, using the tag text as its title - i.e., “testsubject”
  3. view the ‘Unlinked Mentions’ for the “testsubject” note

Expected result

I would expect to see nothing there - Obsidian should not pick up any notes with ‘testsubject’ in them.

Actual result

Obsidian lists the ‘testsubject’ text which is part of the TAG “#testsubject” as an ‘Unlinked Mention’.

Environment

  • Operating system: MacOS Catalina 10.15.5
  • Obsidian version: 0.7.3

Additional information

Obsidian should perhaps automatically exclude all tag text from the results in ‘Unlinked Mentions’.

let me know if you still have this with 0.8.4

I do have this issue with aliases.

For instance, I have a tag #french (french) with which I tag any note that I use to learn french. I also have a page “Learning French” with the alias “French” that works as a MOC.

The image below shows that every page tagged with #french appears in the “Unlinked Mentions” section.

I agree, that creates unwanted results an clutter in this section.
