If a file is deleted, what happens to the _resources content?

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to delete unwanted files from a vault. I would especially like to get rid of the memory-intensive contents of _resources that link to the file. When I delete a file, do any _resources files that are linked get deleted too?

no. There are third party plugins that try to do some cleanup of unlinked files.
