Torch, thanks for the quick reply. I see what you mean by a MOC (I had seen the term mentioned but being a VERY new user, wasn’t sure what it meant). What you are suggesting makes sense. I also discovered that the search capability returns the matching notes alphabetical by title. If all notes use a timestamp such as YYYYMMDDhhmm for the title (or at least a prefix), then the search is returning results chronologically. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages.
Relying on search of timestamped titles
Advantages: Any search returns results chronologically, which I think is handy; Don’t have to maintain a MOC.
Disadvantages: A search that returns a lot of notes could be unwieldy; all notes must have a timestamped title.
Using a MOC
Advantages: No unwieldy search result to scroll through; titles don’t have to have a timestamp prefix.
Disadvantages: Each new note requires editing the MOC.
