ICON at Top for Dual-Pane (Edit+Preview)

Something like this icon:
[ :clipboard: :pencil2: ]
Or something like:
[ :goal_net: ]
Or
[ :open_book: ]

Would make sure the current file has 2 vertical panes of equal width OPENED immediately:

Edit Pane (on the left)

Preview Pane (on the right)

THIS WOULD APPLY FOR THE CURRENT FILE WHICH HAS THE FOCUS and/or ACTIVE CURSOR in.

Many best apps on: Windows, Mac, Linux and even Android (Epsilon) have this Daul-Pane launch of EDIT+PREVIEW.

This enables live preview of WYSIWYG of markdown files.
Crucial for fast blog posting.

I know we can vertically split windows and open second one and switch mode.
But this is not clever regarding the extra number of UI steps needed, and amateurish UX.

When it can so easily be coded.

This icon would be next to PREVIEW icon at top-right (when in Edit Mode).
This icon would be next to EDIT icon at top-right (when in Preview Mode).

A NEW SubForum for Uploading Useful Obsidian Files
THAT CAN THEN BE DOWNLOADED FOR LOCAL ACCESS USE

The download links can be:

Provided by Obsidian
And/Or
Free File Sharing Sites, other Free Cloud Sites

Also:

YOU CAN SET A SWITCH IN /PUBLISH MANAGER SECTION for a user:
SO A FILE CAN BE SET TO BE:
DOWNLOADABLE

So users can upload and link useful files that can be downloaded for local use.
Unlike the obsidian.md/publish section, which is only online.

Many who work offline can use them, this includes much of the globe.
Not everyone is online all the time.

Useful Downloadable Files can be:

References
Dictionaries in various languages
Thesauruses
Wiki like subject areas: Science, medicine, nature, history, literature etc etc
Learning Tools
Academic Courses’ Modules
NGO files
Charities documents
Campaigns
etc etc

This would make Obsidian grow exponentially fast outside of North America & Western Europe, where billions live.

If cleverly and strategically planned, avoiding short term greed, can be much more rewarding financially in the medium and long term!

That is a stone cold fact.

Also Obsidian team can:

Convert Royalty Free Resources & References etc to Downloadable Obsidian Files
&
Encourage Users to Convert & Upload Such files or their own useful files in such a Subforum for Download by anyone

The possibilities and potentials are endless in terms of usefulness to masses in an ethical manner. Which would benefit Obsidian as a company, in MANY MANY ways for a long long time.
