What I’m trying to do
I was trying to sync my personal vault from my laptop to my phone using the Obsidian sync feature and only a couple folders and files synced over. So, I opened my Obsidian on my laptop, and everything disappeared except for those couple of folders and notes, including all my plugins. That’s literally hundereds of notes that are gone now.
My vault is on my local hard drive, so I know it’s not an issue with sync and OneDrive conflicting.
Things I have tried
- Checked my personal vault folder’s trash. None of my files or folders are there.
- Checked my computer’s trash folder. None of the files or folders are there either.
- Disconnected sync and tried to reconnect. Unfortunately, I can’t remember me vault password so now I can’t seem to reconnect the sync.
- Tried to use File Recovery but it shows no snapshots.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I’m so frustrated right now with Obsidian and I’m comptemplating switching to a different app if this is what happens when I try to sync between my laptop and my phone.
