Things I have tried

I tried to find this in the docs, but did not find the help docs, only "Pricing, Mobile, Publish, Sync, Community and Account.

I checked (first) the menus, etc. of course, but to no avail.

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to open a note in a new window, while keeping already open windows intact. Currently I can only split one window / vault into many panels, and open new notes in those panels.

Is my wish possible?

Do you mean a new window as in a second Obsidian window on PC/Mac that you can minimise?
AFAIK that can’t be done, at least not on Mac.

There is a plugin called Obsidian Tabs that might suffice here, below is it in use on my Obsidian, where you see the numbers 1 and 2 on the note names.
