Hi, i am trying to make links with [[]] and i as a newbie don’t understand how to do it.
Suppose i have to links with same title say index, how can i do that as when i try to make the second index file, the first page index is linked automatically.
please help

Hey. Welcome.

You’ll have to have two files with different names. Then, you can call from Page 1 [[Page 2]].

After, open Page 2 and click the chain icon in the right-hand menu bar. There, you’ll see the pages mentioning your current page. (Backlinks)

If you want to link them two way: Mention [[Page 2]] on Page 1, and on Page 2 write [[Page 1]].

You can change the display text of a link but each page needs to have a unique name OR be in different folders.

Option 1

  • Folder 1
    • Page 1
    • Index
  • Folder 2
    • Page 2
    • Index

Option 2

  • Page 1
  • Index 1
  • Page 2
  • Index 2

Then in Page 1 you can add a link like this [[Index 1|Index]] and in preview mode it will say Index not Index 1
