How to keyboard focus "Files" pane immediately after using "Toggle Left Sidebar"?

When I use the “Toggle left sidebar” command or its hotkey in Obsidian, it only opens or closes the sidebar—the “Files” pane (File Explorer) doesn’t automatically receive keyboard focus. After toggling the sidebar open with a shortcut, arrow key navigation doesn’t work unless I manually click on the Files pane to give it focus.

Is there a way to set a single hotkey, or a sequence, so that after toggling the left sidebar open, keyboard focus immediately moves to the “Files” pane, allowing me to instantly navigate files using the up/down arrow keys without using the mouse? Additionally, when toggling the sidebar to minimize, can the focus automatically return to the note?

Does the “Files: Show file explorer” command do what you need?

(Altho if it does, you’d still need to use the sidebar toggle command to close it. Possibly the Commander plugin’s “macros” feature could allow you to still use a single hotkey. If so, you might be able to also add in Obsidian’s “focus on last note” command to smooth out the return. Tho it does seem like Obsidian should just move the focus as you’d expect.)
