How to keep a reading view on active source, maybe a FR?

I know and try to use linked editing and reading view.
This works fine, if there is only one active note to edit.

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to keep a tab pane to always show reading view on my focus active editing view.

Not to link two editing and reading panes for each note.

Am I correct in phrasing your question as: You want only one tab in reading view, and that it will/should relink to the current pane that your editing (even if you have many open tabs)?

I don’t think this is possible out of the box, so you need either a plugin or some command extention to do this for you. I’ve been contemplating myself to make such a command, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Too much other fun to be done…

Yes,

• I always want a reading view. (Source live / preview is poor)
• But not so many reading views as many as editing view, just one to render the focus / active editing view is enough.

This could cooperate with another FR, Auto switch to reading view when leave focus, and toggle back when get focus - Feature requests - Obsidian Forum.
