How to import and manage Vancouver style citations from Zotero?

I’m writing an essay in a note. I have my references in Zotero, and want to cite them in Obsidian. The citations will be in the Vancouver style as footnote. If a citation is inserted between two previous citations, I want the reference to renumbering in the edit mode, not just in the view mode. I guess these are my options (sorted by preference):

  1. Having a plugin to insert citation from Zotero and update the citation right below the note, similarly how the native footnote feature of Obsidian works (plain-text only solution)
  2. Having a plugin to insert citation from Zotero and render the view mode or export the PDF output with citation at the end of the essay (similarly how Biber and BibTeX work)
  3. Just ditch Obsidian for good and use TeX

I have tried using mgmeyers/obsidian-zotero-integration, but it doesn’t seem to do both 1 and 2. Moreover, I don’t understand why it needs Better BibTeX for Zotero, as there is no TeX involved here. I wonder if there is a way to get the job done without ditching Obsidian.
