How to Hide Task completion date?

Obsidian automatically added a completion:: metadata to a task that has been marked as completed.

how do I hide this metadata display?

This is coming from a plugin. Do you have any task related plugins enabled? Check their settings.

I only have the Dataview, Calendar and Natural Language Dates plugins installed

is it one of them?

I’m not sure, but you should check the settings of them.

you are correct - it can be toggled via the the Natural Language Dates plugin settings
