I.e. not A-Z, but my own order. I want to arrange the notes as I want them to be in my own order
If you search the forum, you’ll see some discussion about this. There are plugins and workarounds. But no way to do it in vanilla Obsidian yet.
If your notes appear in a specific order in the folder in which you have them, you can simply place a number in front of the file name: 01-file, 02-file, etc. It’s ugly and tedious, but it should get your notes in the order you want them. But an easier and more dynamic way would be to use the dataview plugin and put an index number in your notes frontmatter. It’s about as much work as changing all the file names, but less ugly.
