How do I get rid of captions underneath images

What I’m trying to do

When I insert a drawing using the excalidraw plugin, the image shows the file name in white text underneath the image, and I am trying to get rid of it.

This happens if the image is a .excalidraw file, or a .png file, but it only happens when I import an excalidraw image. If I take a screenshot and past it in the note, this caption does not appear.

I am not sure whether this is an excalidraw issue, or an obsidian issue. I am sorry if this post is out of the scope of this forum.

(I tried to upload an image of what I am talking about, hopefully this is visible in the post)

Things I have tried

I have looked through all the menu’s in the excalidraw settings(although it is possible that I missed something.)
I have searched through this forum, and r/obsidianMD

I did a quick test, and I don’t see those captions. Is it possible the theme you are using is adding it? Try with the default theme as a test.

Thanks for your response, I switched back to the default theme and reloaded obsidian, and the captions are still there:

I have a plugin that generates captions; as per default, Obisidan doesn’t display captions under images.

Check plugins like “image caption”.

Cheers, Marko

Yep you were right, thank you. The image converter plugin was creating the captions.

I have had that plugin for a while, and it hadn’t been creating captions for any images until I downloaded excalidraw, so I assumed the problem had to do with excalidraw.
