How do I enable changing frontmatter values?

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to add some frontmatter to my note to use the April’s Automatic Timelines plugin and I’ve got two problems. The first is this: the type of frontmatter value I want to use (number) isn’t available to begin with.

The second problem is this: when I try to change the value afterwards, all value types are greyed out unavailable, so I have no way of using the correct value type.

For reference, this is what my frontmatter should look like:

And I can’t make mine like this ‘cause I can’t access all the frontmatter options.

Things I have tried

I tried switching to source mode but that didn’t help. I tried looking through Obsidian’s settings to see if I have to set up the frontmatter values somewhere but I couldn’t find anything of the sort. I’ve double and triple-checked the AAT plugin documentation & tutorials and there’s nothing about how to get the right frontmatter values to work, so I assume it’s some piss-easy simple set-up that I’ve just completely missed.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. Cheers <3

Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention: I’ve also tried cross-referencing my vault’s settings with AAT’s sample vault’s settings and can’t find any discrepancies. If that matters.

Okay I guess I found the fix after all? I just changed the text in the value box from whatever I had there to something else. And suddenly I can change the value type. Still don’t see all of them when I first create the frontmatter though, which is odd. But basically this solves my problem, albeit in a pretty roundabout way.

Ah. Now that I’ve done the frontmatter once… it’s showing up when I go to create new frontmatter. Problem solved, everyone!
