Hi! I want to be able to factory reset my phone without losing access to my vault. That’s why I want to be able to email myself a plain and simple backup of my vault.
Things I have tried
I’ve tried going into the files app on my phone and copying the vault folder from the documents to the downloads folder. however, all the folders inside my vault are somehow stored outside of it, in the documents folder on my drive, in my files app. so when I go into my files and open the Obsidian vault, I can only see the files directly in it and no folders. the folders show up alongside my Vault, in the documents folder. if I transfer my vault to my documents folder, no folders show up, only the documents stored outside of any folders. when I opened the vault in obsidian, it was entirely empty, without even those plainly stored documents that still show up in my file manager. I tried copying over all the other folders with it, but that also didn’t work. My vaults are always 100% empty. and the individual files I can’t open at all, on their own, probably because they’re encrypted.
